The authors
Jim Mahoney spent fifty-one years as an educator, teaching English and helping young people become stronger readers and writers. He is the author of Power and Portfolios and Power and Poetry.
He lives in The Villages, Florida, with his wife, Sally, where softball remains an important part of his life.
Mike Summers spent more than twenty-five years as a technology executive and entrepreneur, building companies and working internationally. His fiction has appeared twice in the Florida Writers Association’s Collection anthologies.
He lives in The Villages, Florida, with his wife, MaryJo, where he writes, works out regularly, swims laps, and bikes. He is currently working on two novels.

Long Season Press is an independent imprint created by Mike Summers and Jim Mahoney for The Long Season and future writing projects.
